What pet photography looks like?
Questionnaire
Before the actual meeting in person, clients go through a short questionnaire about the habits, character of the pet, health situation, to at least get an idea of the model and devise a concept for the photoshoot.
Location and Relaxation
When we meet at the agreed location, I usually don't take photos for the first 15 minutes, we just talk, walk around, and give treats to the model when they approach me to get used to my presence. We turn the whole process into a game, and then everything becomes easier. I actually follow the dynamics of the pet, and when they relax enough, I occasionally give instructions to people on how to stand, sit, or whatever, and many times they themselves tell me exactly what kind of photos they would like or we spontaneously capture a great moment. What I often hear from clients and what makes me very happy is that they had a great experience just with the photoshoot and enjoyed the whole process. So many clients come back to us because when they receive the photos, they simply want to capture more moments, either in another setting or with another theme.
Duration
The shoots last depending on the situation. Usually, it's about an hour to an hour and a half - two.
